Look at Your Downspouts
Genuinely, go outside and look. On homes of this era, downspouts commonly terminate right at the slab edge, dumping the concentrated runoff from a large section of roof into the same square foot of soil every time it rains. That soil swells, then dries hard in August, then swells again. Do it for forty years and that corner moves.
